Why FullPage Capture over FireShot

• The hard pages are free here and Pro there. FireShot's own comparison table puts “capturing page elements and scrolling areas”, “advanced entire page captures (handling floating elements)” and “frames, iframes and scrolling divs” in Pro. FullPage Capture does all of that in the free version, on every capture.

Built for the pages that break other extensions

Any extension can stitch a plain article. The difference shows on real pages, and it comes from how the capture is made:

• Apps that scroll inside a panel. Gmail, Notion, Trello, Jira, dashboards: FullPage Capture finds the element that really scrolls, captures the whole window once and then unrolls only that panel, so the result is the app, complete.
• Sticky headers, cookie bars and chat bubbles once. Photographed at the top, then hidden while the rest scrolls past, instead of repeating on every screen or covering the text.
• Images that load on scroll are waited for, screen by screen, so nothing comes out grey; a slow page can be given more time in the options.
• Embedded frames and PDF files. A document viewer inside the page is captured on its own, and a PDF opened in Chrome is rendered page by page into one image.
• Very long pages do not fail silently. Beyond Chrome's canvas limit the capture is saved as numbered parts, and the editor puts them back together whenever the whole still fits.
• Dark pages stay dark, on their own background, not on white.
• Retina and high-DPI captures keep the full pixel density, so text stays sharp when zoomed.
