What it captures

• The whole page, scrolled and stitched into one image, with sticky headers once, not on every screen.
• Apps that scroll inside a panel: Gmail, Notion, Trello, dashboards. The extension finds the real scroller and unrolls it.
• Embedded frames such as document viewers, on their own when they are what the page is about.
• PDF files opened in Chrome, every page in one image.
• Pages behind a login, intranets and local files. Anything you can see in your tab.
• Very long pages, as one image up to 28,800 pixels and as numbered parts beyond that.
• Dark pages on a dark background, not white.

What you do with the capture

• Annotate: arrows, rectangles, ellipses, lines, text, highlighter, pen, numbered badges. Vector objects with layers and full undo.
• Blur or pixelate names, numbers and faces before you share.
• Crop to an exact pixel size, by the numbers.
• Copy to the clipboard, sized so it pastes into Google Docs.
• Save as PNG or JPEG.
• Export a PDF: one long page, or Letter, Legal and A4 with page breaks between lines and clickable links. More about PDF.
• Stamp the address and date on the image in five styles, including Mac and Windows browser frames.
• Find it again: every capture stays in Files, searchable, until you delete it.

How to take a screenshot with it

1. Add FullPage Capture to Chrome or EdgeFrom the Chrome Web Store or Edge Add-ons. No account, no sign-up, no watermark.
2. Click the icon on any pageOr press Alt+Shift+K. A page that fits on the screen is captured as it is; a longer one scrolls and captures itself, sticky headers once, inner panels unrolled.
3. Copy, annotate or exportThe result opens in its own tab. Copy it to the clipboard, open the editor to draw, blur or crop, or save it as PNG, JPEG or PDF. Every capture is kept in Files, in this browser, until you delete it.

Against the built-in screenshot

Print Screen, Snipping Tool, Shift+Cmd+4 and the browser's own screenshot command are fine for what is on the screen. This is what changes when the screenshot is the whole page.
